Visit of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary to the CPD
On 29 May 2024, the Commission for Protection against Discrimination (CPD) was visited by Dr. Akos Kozma, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary. He was accompanied by Csenge Borbey, Head of the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, and György Šarik, interpreter.  

 The guests were introduced to the main functions and powers of the CPD, the specifics of its proceedings and the network of regional representatives. Attention was drawn to the “Accessible Bulgaria” campaign, the Commission\'s preventive activities as an important factor for success in the fight against discrimination, as well as to a number of events and initiatives of the institution related to prevention. 

 Dr. Akos Kozma thanked for the warm welcome and presented the activities of the institution of the Hungarian Commissioner for Human Rights, which he heads. 

 Ideas for future joint initiatives between the two institutions were discussed. 

 The Chairperson of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination, Prof. Dr. Ana Dzhumaliyeva, presented Dr. Akos Kozma with an honorary plaque of the CPD. 

 The guests also visited the meeting room of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination. 

 On behalf of the CPD, the meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ana Dzhumalieva - Chairperson of the CPD, Prof. Dr. Baki Husseinov - Deputy Chairperson of the CPD, Elka Bozhova - Director of the SPAP Directorate, and Kiril Stankov, Senior Specialist at the APMS Department.
