On 30 May 2024, H. Pr. Mehmet Sait Uyanak, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bulgaria. He was accompanied by Mr. Yusuf Mustafov, Secretary at the Embassy, and Mr. Alanur Yazandzhi, Second Secretary at the Embassy.
The guests were acquainted with the nature, powers and duties of the Commission, with the specifics of its proceedings, with its preventive activities. Attention was also paid to the role and functions of the regional representatives of the CPD, as well as to the “Accessible Bulgaria” campaign.
Н. Pr. Mehmet Sait Uyanak stressed that he was impressed by the multifaceted activities of the CPD, asking a number of questions related to the proceedings before the Commission and its preventive work.
The Chairperson of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination Prof. Dr. Ana Dzhumalieva handed over to N. Pr. Mehmet Sait Uyanak with a plaque of honour.
The guests also visited the meeting room of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination.
