On May 14, 2024, at the invitation of the Board of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF), Prof. Dr. Ana Dzhumalieva, Chairperson of the Commission for Protection from Discrimination, took part in an official ceremony of awarding the certificates of 27 companies that have signed the Diversity Charter in Bulgaria. The Charter is a document voluntarily signed by a company or a public institution to take steps to implement diversity and equality policies in the workplace regardless of individual characteristics.
Lazar Lazarov, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Levon Khampartsumian, Chairman of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum and others addressed the participants.
In a congratulatory address to the organizers of the forum, Associate Professor Dzhumaliyeva emphasized that in today's world, diversity is a reality and exists everywhere, and the benefits of diversity are particularly visible in today's global competitive environment, which requires adaptability, ingenuity and sustainability.
The certificates of the signatory companies were presented by Deputy Minister Lazar Lazarov and Levon Hampartzumian.
