On April 19, 2024 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ana Dzhumalieva, Chairperson of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination, took part in an international scientific conference “Protection against Discrimination in Bulgaria, Europe and the World”, organized and held at New Bulgarian University. The occasion was the 20th anniversary of the entry into force of the Bulgarian Law on Protection against Discrimination.
The conference was opened with opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Veselin Metodiev, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of New Bulgarian University.
Associate Professor Dzhumaliyeva delivered a welcoming speech to the participants, focusing on the Law on Protection against Discrimination - one of the most progressive and unique in Europe.
Prof. Dr. Veselin Vuchkov, Head of the Department of Law at New Bulgarian University, also welcomed the participants. The moderator was Prof. Dr. Ekaterina Mihaylova, Chair of the Organizing Committee of the event.
