On April 18, 2024, students from the 4th grade of the Primary School “Nikola Furnadjiev” - Pazardzhik visited the Commission for Protection against Discrimination for a training module. The visit was on the initiative of Angel Malinov, Director of “Nikola Furnadjiev” Primary School.
Prof. Dr. Ana Dzhumalieva, Chairperson of the CPD, introduced the students to the activities of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination and what it is as an equality body. Several films with examples of discrimination in a school environment were presented. A fruitful discussion was held on the topic of discrimination at school.
Mr. Malinov, Director of the Primary School “Nikola Furnadjiev”, was awarded an honorary plaque of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination.
All received certificates for participation in a training module of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination.
The students visited the meeting room and attended a meeting of the Commission.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ana Dzhumalieva, Chairperson of the CPD, Prof. Dr. Baki Husseinov, Deputy Chairperson of the CPD, Prof. Dr. Nadezhda Yonkova, Secretary General of the CPD, Elka Bozhova, Director of the SPAP Directorate, Svilena Ivanova, Head of the Specialized Proceedings Department, and Elitsa Stamenova, Chief Specialist.
The guests of the event were Angel Malinov, director of the Primary School “Nikola Furnadjiev”, Sofia Kolarova, head teacher, Desislava Lazarova, parent, and 10 students from the 4th grade of the school.
