On 2 April 2024, Prof. Dr. Baki Husseinov, Deputy Chairman of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination, took part in a webinar on good corporate practices, which is held for the fourth year of the Diversity Charter in Bulgaria and is part of the European Diversity Month 2024. The event is a joint initiative of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF) and the Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD).
The webinar aims to promote policies of respect and acceptance of differences, to promote the awarded companies in the special category “Diversity in the Workplace” of the prestigious Annual Responsible Business Awards 2023 and to become a useful platform for sharing working ideas, practical experiences and achieved successes. It was highlighted by the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum the participation of the BCB in the forum every year.
During the forum prof. Husseinov presented the activities of the CPD to prevent unequal treatment in the exercise of the right to work. He emphasized on the powers and preventive activities of the Equality Body. He also shared good practices related to the certification of employers as “Employer without discrimination”. What was said by prof. Husseinov aroused serious interest and provoked a fruitful discussion.
Good corporate practices were presented by the finalists in the Workplace Diversity Category, Annual Responsible Business Awards 2023.
