On 20 February 2024. Daniela Tabakova, Regional Representative of the CPD for Montana Region, organized and held an open reception at the Municipal Administration in Valchedrum, Montana Region.
During the reception she met with Ivan Barzin, Mayor of Valchedrum municipality, who introduced her to Kostadin Simeonov - the new coordinator for the CPD.
During the meeting Tabakova presented the powers and activities of the Commission, as well as the Law on the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. and its protected characteristics. The procedure and the way to file a complaint with the CPD were explained. Attention was drawn to the filing of a complaint and the signing of a declaration under Article 6(2)(2) of the Rules of Procedure before the CPD. A hard copy of the Law on Protection against Discrimination was provided and will be placed in a prominent and accessible place. Information was also presented on the ongoing open-ended campaign of the CPD “Accessible Bulgaria”.
