On July 12, 2023, at a special ceremony, Prof. Dr. Ana Dzhumalieva, Chairperson of the Commission for Protection from Discrimination (CPD), presented Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Rector of the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), with a certificate for an accessible architectural environment at the university. 

The award is given by the CPD as a result of the built architectural environment at the university according to modern standards of accessibility and is within the framework of the national campaign “Accessible Bulgaria” conducted by the CPD. 

It was emphasized that special care is taken for students with disabilities at the UNWE. On behalf of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination the meeting was attended by Assoc. Dr. Ana Dzhumalieva - Chairperson of the CPD, Assoc. Dr. Baki Husseinov - Deputy Chairperson of the CPD, Eng. Sabrie Sapunjieva - member of the CPD, Eng. Prof. Dr. Nadezhda Yonkova - Secretary General of the CPD.
