Plaques and certificates for accessible environment were awarded by the CPD in Silistra District
Members and representatives of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination (CPD) paid a working visit to Silistra region. The purpose of the visit is to present to the state and municipal authorities the Law on Protection from Discrimination, the activities of the CPD, as well as its national campaign for accessible architectural environment under the title “Accessible Bulgaria”. 

A working meeting of the CPC was held with mayors of municipalities on the territory of Silistra Region, with representatives of the state authorities and the media. Plaques and certificates for achieved good results within the “Accessible Bulgaria” campaign for accessible architectural environment in Silistra were awarded by the Chairperson of the Commission for Protection from Discrimination Ana Dzhumalieva. The District Administration was awarded, 

The Regional Library "Partheniy Pavlovich", the primary schools "St. Cyril and Methodius and Father Paisii, the Regional Post Office, the municipalities of Silistra, Tutrakan and Alfatar, as well as the head of a private company in Silistra, Tsanka Atanasova. The event was attended by the Secretary General of the Regional Administration Elena Tomova, the Mayor of Silistra Municipality Dr. Julian Naydenov, the Mayor of Alfatar Municipality Yanka Gospodinova and other representatives of the state authorities at local level. 

The CPD was represented by Dr. Dr. Ana Dzhumalieva, Chairperson, the members Dr. Vladimira Stoimenova, Sofia Yovcheva and Nasko Atanasov and the Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nadejda Yonkova.
