On 17 June 2024. Valya Kotelska, Regional Representative of the CPD for Smolyan Region, organized and held an open reception in the town of Madan. There was also an information meeting with Yavor Orlov, Deputy Mayor of Madan Municipality, who introduced Valya Kotelska in detail about the open centres for disabled people and for children with disabilities.  

The powers and activities of the Commission, the DIPR Act and the protected characteristics set out therein, as well as the rules for initiating proceedings before the CPD were presented. The possibilities for joint initiatives of the CPD and the Municipality of Madan were discussed.
