On 25 June 2024, a meeting was held at the Commission for Protection against Discrimination with representatives of the Bulgarian Association of Graduates of Higher Islamic Education (BAGHEI) - Guler Yahya - Chairman of BAGHEI and Chairman of the Muslim Board of Trustees in the town of. Sofia, Nazmie Kulova - deputy chairman of BAZVIO and expert in the Department of Education at the Chief Muftiate, Beihan Mehmed - member of BAZVIO and district mufti of the city. Aydan Muhammed - member of BAZWIO.

The guests were introduced to the main functions and powers of the CPD, the specifics of its proceedings and the network of regional representatives. Attention was drawn to the “Accessible Bulgaria” campaign, the Commission's preventive activities as an important factor for success in the fight against discrimination, as well as to a number of events and initiatives of the institution related to prevention. 

Ideas for future joint initiatives between the two institutions were discussed, as well as the possibility to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation. The guests also visited the meeting room of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination. On behalf of the CPD, the meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ana Dzhumalieva - Chairperson of the CPD, Prof. Dr. Baki Husseinov - DeputyChairperson of the CPD, Prof. Dr. Nadezhda Yonkova - Secretary General of the CPD, and Georgi Genchev - Chief Specialist at the APMS Department.
