Meeting at the CPD with representatives of the National Democratic Institute
On 7 June 2024, Nicole Patrick, Programme Manager of the National Democratic Institute\'s (NDI) Roma Social Inclusion Programme, visited the Commission for Protection against Discrimination (CPD). She was accompanied by Diana Yovcheva, NDI Programme Manager in Bulgaria. 

 The guests were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Ana Dzhumaliyeva, Chairperson of the CPD, Prof. Dr. Baki Husseinov, Deputy Chairperson of the CPD, and Akram Khan, expert at the CPD. 

 Nicole Patrick was introduced to the work of the CPD as an equality body, to the proceedings before the institution, to a number of its activities related to prevention. Prevailing complaints to the CPD of representatives of Roma ethnicity were also presented.

 Nicole Patrick also asked additional questions to the hosts, which were answered comprehensively, and the CPD gave ideas related to the integration of Roma and their protection from discrimination.
 Associate Professor Dzhumalieva presented Nicole Patrick with a CPD honorary plaque. The guests also visited the meeting room of the CPD.
